One way I ask the Universe for Help

Asking the universe for help is like my form of prayer only it’s much more methodic and involved. My higher power or “God” is the Universe and I address the Universe as such. Over the past 6 months I’ve stumbled upon a method of asking that I’ve had, in my opinion, huge success with. So, as usual, I feel I should share what works for me. Maybe it will give you an idea to springboard off of. Maybe it will inspire you to create your own method or way.

I began the process of asking a few months ago and wrote about it in my post Rebuilding the Broken Line to Source. Since then I’ve added to my form of asking and turned it into a practice with a few steps involved. I feel it opens a door for my spirit to be on a much more personal level with the “asking” and it makes me feel empowered.

Let’s be honest, it’s difficult being human and we all can use a small victory once in a while. I’m so glad I found something that works for me and I only hope that others can do the same.

Step 1: Write it Down and Be Clear

The first step I take in asking is to take the time to write out exactly what it is that I want help with. This step is the most time consuming. Once I’m past this step the rest is easy. I use scratch paper so I can change my mind and be messy, as I tend to be when writing. I include as many details as I can think of so when I visit my desire in meditation I can visualize it clearly. Personally, I feel that the little details are what makes every one of my “askings” powerful and unique to me.

Then I research the Archangels and the ways in which each of them help humanity. For example; I always call on Archangel Sandalphon for help because, while he’s better known for being the Archangel of Music, he also helps to deliver your messages to “God” or “Source” (in my case “The Universe”). I like to envision that if there is a being or source who would be the perfect help for my “asking” then Sandalphon will expedite my message to them. Then I write the names of all the Archangels of my choosing at the bottom of my piece of paper, and write next to each name what it is that I am specifically asking them to help me with. The bottom of every one of my letters has the words,

Archangel Sandalphon, please deliver my message to the proper source

Once I have my desires written out clearly and I know which Archangels I’m asking for help, I grab a new piece of paper and write out a formal letter that I intend to recite every day.

Step 2: Ask Out Loud

I keep my letters in my journal because it’s a safe place and I visit my journal every day. When I’m ready to do my asking I center myself, call on the Universe, my guides, the Archangels and

“any other benevolent beings who wish to help humanity at this time.”

I begin by getting out my piece of paper and holding it in my lap. I make myself comfortable and close my eyes. I take several deep breaths to center myself and I visualize being surrounded by beautiful beings. Then I say,

“Dear Universe, Guides, Archangels (and I recite the names of those I have chosen for my “asking”) and any benevolent beings that wish to help humanity at this time.”

Then I say the words,

“I’m asking. I’m asking. I’m asking.”

To me, this is the most important part and I put emphasis and passion into the words, “I’m asking”. I want these helpful beings to know that I am allowing them to come into my reality to give guidance. I am allowing them to interfere, so to speak. From there, I recite my letter out loud. I try to pour emotional emphasis into the words that mean the most to me. Once the whole letter is recited I always end with,

“With the utmost gratitude and sincerity, Thank you!”

Then I recite what I’ve written at the bottom to each Archangel I chose to include in my letter.

Step 3: Visualize

Once I’ve completed reciting my letter I gently tuck it away in my journal, put it aside and I visualize my desire, question or that with which I am requesting assistance. Once again, I breathe slowly and deeply and close my eyes. I imagine myself in the desired scenario or I visualize myself asking the question of my team of guides and archangels. I imagine them guiding me and giving me answers even if I do not know what those answers are. Then I imagine how I would feel if my question was answered or my desire is achieved and make sure to feel gratitude.

I don’t do this for very long. 10 to 15 minutes some days. This process doesn’t take me very long to get to a place where I feel satisfied.

Step 4: Ask Every Day

This has been the most important part. No matter how long it took, when I’ve had success with this method I asked EVERY DAY. Maybe the Universe got the message that I was serious when I asked every, damn, day! LOL Perhaps that’s why I was guided to my answers over these past 6 months; It was a true and genuine desire and I proved that.
